Coaching for Excellence in Nursing: A Guide for Educators

Posted over 1 year ago by Debra Shelton

Start your summer of learning with the NLN’s Coaching for Excellence in Nursing course! This immersive 5-module program will enhance your teaching and coaching skills and provide context to understand the unique challenges novice nurses face as you help with the transition to practice.

Coaching for Excellence is well suited for preceptors, clinical instructors, new faculty in nursing education, and anyone looking to improve their skills with new nurses. You’ll practice in an interactive online environment by submitting videos of yourself using the NLN Guide for Teaching Thinking and receive feedback from an NLN consultant and your peers.

This self-paced course gives you time and space to practice using Socratic dialogue in common learning experiences and will help you integrate adult learning theories and learning styles as you develop teaching plans. Participants earn 5 contact hours (0.5 CEUs) upon completion.
