The DAISY Nurse Leader Award for Nursing Clinical Educators recognizes exceptional nurses in clinical practice or simulation who exhibit, inspire, and nurture compassion and respect amongst peers, mentees, students, or colleagues. Nurses eligible for this award include those who influence and develop nurses or nursing students at the site of direct or simulated patient care. The Lived Experiences of Nursing Faculty Teaching Clinical Judgment and Reasoning to Pre-licensure Nursing Students Enrolled in Baccalaureate Programs
Research Participant Recruitment: The purpose of this study is to explore nursing faculty’s lived experiences with teaching clinical judgment and reasoning to pre-licensure nursing students enrolled in baccalaureate program to better understand the essence of faculty’s preparation with the forthcoming changes to the Next Generation NCLEX-RN. For faculty: Employed to teach didactic, clinical or simulation in an undergraduate pre-licensure baccalaureate nursing program; MSN or Doctorate degree in nursing, with an emphasis in education preferred; and have at least three years of teaching experience in higher education. Effectiveness of a Workshop & Digital Intervention on Faculty Attitudes & Integration of Veteran-Centered Content into Nursing Curricula
Research Participant Recruitment: This multi-phase longitudinal study seeks nurse educators to participate in a free 5-hour workshop and timed digital interventions over a 10-month period. For nurse educators 18 years of age or older, able to read and speak English, serving as a registered nurse teaching in an accredited school of nursing.
